The Big Tea Project

This a is a large scale creative community project with participatory workshops and training based all over Larkhall from February- September, culminating in a community International Tea party in September 2010.
The workshops will be for children under 5 and their carers, young people, adults and older people. We are also going to work with housebound people. Workshops will range from visual art, film, photography, craft and mosaic to rap music, cookery, memory workshops to creative walks, growing edible plants, dance including ballet and Tea dance!
Workshops will be loosely based around food and the different cultural rituals around preparing, making and sharing food or about things that could be incorporated into celebratory events.
All our events are free to join, many are drop- in and some require booking.

Some of the exciting ways to get involved:

  • Train

Many of the projects have trainee and volunteer posts attached. This can be part of your current studies, part of career development, or an interest to pursue
  • Join in- Join one of the many workshops listed below. For up to date dates look at the two webs www.springforwardartstrail.co.uk or www.artfulife.co.uk
